“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
Who We Serve
Children
Many kids have difficulty regulating their emotions and managing their behavior. For parents, it can be hard to know what to expect and how to respond. Child therapy helps kids learn to identify emotions in their bodies as they begin to arise, so that they can regulate their emotions most effectively. Treatment also incorporates a strong family component so that parents can learn strategies to manage their child’s emotional and behavioral concerns at home.
Adolescents
Adolescence is an important period of development that helps pave the path to a happy and healthy adulthood. At this stage, teens are exploring who they are, how they relate to others, and learning to cope with stress. Parents are learning how to balance a teen’s desire for independence while still providing support and guidance. Therapy can provide a safe and private space for teens to feel heard and understood as they navigate this stage of life.
Young Adults
Entering adulthood can stir a mix of emotions. It can bring about great excitement and joy, but also feelings of overwhelm and pressure to “have it all together.” Many young adults experience self-doubt, feel stuck, struggle to overcome a past experience, or worry about what their futures may hold. Therapy is a supportive place where you can slow down, reflect on your experiences, talk things through, and gently find your way forward.
